Lidl has submitted a planning application for a new foodstore, which would replace its existing Caister store with a new, larger store, built to Lidl’s latest modern specification. The application also seeks approval for a coffee shop with drive-thru and fast food restaurant with drive-thru.

The planning application can be viewed on Great Yarmouth Borough Council’s planning website and has the reference number 06/23/0757/F.

During the community consultation, and since the application has been submitted, we have received some really positive feedback, as well as useful comments and questions. As a result, some changes have been made to the plans. This website provides an update on the proposals and answers the key questions that have been asked.
